Contact Us

The club has considerable experience of introducing the local community to the friendly sport of bowls.  Many of our members have joined us via our coaching programme or through Mates in Bowls

If you would like to come along with a group of friends for free bowls coaching then please see the Contact Us page.

Over the last few years we have introduced adults and children to bowls through the  "Crack a jack" and "School Bowls" initiatives organised by Bowls Canterbury.   This year and last we took part in the Mates in Bowls programme organised by Bowls New Zealand

We also provide Corporate Bowls events to local businesses, schools, kindies, shops; in fact any organisation looking for a different kind of social activity. We can arrange times and events to suit.

The most popular type of event includes 30 minutes of bowls coaching, followed by around 90 minutes of fun bowls competition, followed by a BBQ and drinks from our bar. For example, a 5pm start allows and end time around 8pm or later.  Please contact the club secretary, Bev Robertson, on (03) 383 0909 or email the club using the form on the Contact Us page.

Our club house is available for hire to selected applicants. The club bar is stocked with drinks at very reasonable prices and the separate main room holds 90 people.  Hot or cold food, or food preparation facilities, can be arranged.  A form is available that details the conditions and cost of hire. Please contact the club secretary, Bev Robertson, on (03) 383 0909 or email the club from the Contact Us page.

We have a number of opportunities for local businesses to join with us as sponsors of our club greens or club events.  We also provide Marshals and helpers to support other sports clubs in return for donations to our club funds.

We also have outside storage available behind locked gates on our site for containers, caravans, boats and similar items.  For any of these facilities please contact our Manager of Funding & Marketing, Bill Joblin, on (03) 383 0654, or email the club using the form on the Contact Us page.

New modern club shirts in a striking design are now available and a regular Newsletter of club news and activities is provided to all members by email or hardcopy.   A club book giving a complete list of all Club bowling activities is given to every full member at the start of the season.

Our members also benefit from a very wide range of other activities including BBQ nights, card nights, racing nights, a Christmas party, a mid-winter dinner, a winter walking group and Indoor bowls in the club house in the Winter.

If you would like to join us to take part only in our social activities, then you can apply for social membership.  Contact our secretary as stated on the Contact Us page.
